Reach mower for roadsides, ditches and slopes

The DE reach mower is designed for mowing grass, roadsides, roadside verges, ditches, slopes and embankments. It is also designed for trimming hedges, shrubs and weeds. The machine has been designed for municipal companies, road authorities and service contractors responsible for roadside green area maintenance. As a result, it performs well both in everyday municipal work and in seasonal road verge maintenance.

Thanks to its reach arm design, the machine allows convenient operation outside the outline of the tractor. In addition, it makes it easier to mow hard-to-reach areas, such as ditches, slopes, roadsides, areas near road barriers and uneven terrain. As a result, the DE reach mower is particularly useful where a standard mower does not provide sufficient reach or working flexibility.

Flail reach mower with interchangeable working heads

A major advantage of the machine is the possibility of mounting various working heads. Therefore, the unit can be used not only as a flail mower on a reach arm, but also as a multi-purpose machine for green area maintenance. Depending on the attachment used, the DE reach mower can be used for cutting branches, trimming hedges, removing overgrowth and cleaning ditches.

Importantly, interchangeable working heads increase the versatility of the machine and allow the tractor to be used more effectively during the summer season.

DE 480 and DE 580 models

The machine is available in two versions: DE 480 and DE 580, which differ in working reach. The DE 480 version offers a reach of 4.80 m, while the DE 580 provides a reach of 5.80 m. As a result, the model can be selected according to the type of work, tractor size and terrain conditions.

The mower is equipped with an independent hydraulic system driven by the tractor rear PTO at 540 rpm. The system is responsible for the operation of the rotor and hydraulic cylinders. Meanwhile, the oil cooler supports stable machine operation during intensive use. As a result, the DE reach mower speeds up road verge mowing and increases the efficiency of green area maintenance work.

Boom mower control system

The DE boom mower can be equipped with two types of control:

• cable control — standard version,
• electro-proportional control — allowing smooth movement of the boom arm at a speed proportional to the joystick movement.

Rotor 

The machine is equipped with a powerful 1.2 m wide rotor. The rotor has universal flails mounted on 20 mm diameter bolts, which makes it suitable for mowing in difficult terrain, on roadsides, slopes, ditches and overgrown areas.

Application of the DE boom mower

The DE reach mower is recommended for green area maintenance along roads, drainage ditches, municipal areas and locations requiring work outside the outline of the tractor. In addition, it is suitable for mowing grass, weeds, overgrowth, roadsides, slopes and embankments, as well as for maintaining hedges and shrubs.

Thanks to its appropriate working reach and the possibility of mounting various working heads, the DE mower is a practical solution for municipal companies, road maintenance services and green area maintenance contractors.
